NEW VENTURE DISCERNING APPRENTICE

Nayyer is supported in this apprenticeship by Paramount Drive Alliance Church , Prarthana Ka Ghar New Venture, and the Central District of the Alliance Canada.

Over the past number of years Nayyer has faithfully participated in his church community. More recently, he has felt a desire to explore formal leadership opportunities, with a hopeful expectation that God would continue to bring clarity to the following questions: 1. Who is God calling Nayyer to be? and 2. Where and to whom God has placed on his heart? As Nayyer participates in this time of dedicated discernment he will participate in regular meetings with the leadership of Prarthana Ka Ghar, be invited into post-service feedback conversations, participate and lead in worship ministry, as well as have an opportunity to share through preaching. There will also be opportunities for Nayyer to participate in larger denominational experiences and events, as he continues to explore what it would mean to become licensed within The Alliance Canada.

NAYYER’S GOAL

When asked to reflect on the goals for his time as a discerning apprentice Nayyer shares the following:

“I feel God continues to equip me to work with the new immigrants from South Asian backgrounds.  I am fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, and therefore I am able to relate with them well. As I spend time with them and hear their stories, it breaks my heart. I realize I was in their shoes at one time, and how God took me out from such situations, and granted me faith, hope, joy and peace in my life. In this role, I am hoping that God would continue to reveal His plan for my life.”

Nayyer has shared the following ways that you can join with him in this season, through prayer:

  1. To be faithful in all areas of leadership specifically at church, and as a father and husband.

  2. For physical health for all the members of his family.

  3. For his leadership of the worship ministry, that he would be able to mentor and disciple well.
