Discerning in Kingston, ON

A Discerning Community is taking shape in Kingston, ON!

Under the leadership of Nadalla Alarjo, the vision for this Discerning Community is to be passionately committed to seeing the Arab community come to know the Lord. Through this, Nadalla is exploring what it would look like to partner with Jesus, in this community context, with the long-term hope of establishing an Arabic church in Kingston. The focus is to bridge the linguistic and cultural divides, fostering both Arabic- and English-speaking congregations.

The discerning community is launching in partnership with Bayridge Alliance Church, the Network of Arabic Alliance Leaders, and the Eastern District of The Alliance Canada. Nadalla has already begun establishing meaningful relationships in the community as he looks to develop a core group. Nadalla brings to this leadership his experience of sharing the Gospel through digital and radio platforms, as well as his work in other similar communities. The focus of his leadership with Kingston Arabic, will be geared towards training another local leader(s) to take on a key role within this community, and eventually look to partner with an individual who has the potential to become licensed with The Alliance Canada.

In exploring the next steps, Nadalla will be coordinating gatherings that bring together like-minded individuals, facilitating prayer meetings and Bible studies to encourage learning and listening, and maintaining regular communication with interested individuals, local churches, and ministry partners. 

Through a prayerful and discerning approach, remaining deeply rooted in God’s Word and committed to this mission, Kingston Arabic aspires to see this vision realized, and to glorify God in all that they do.
