led by Jack + Sharon Ninaber in Guelph, ON
There is a stronger link between childhood trauma and addiction, then there is between obesity and diabetes. Two thirds of addicts report being abused as children.
With this in mind and a desire to reach those who live, work and play at The Manor, a local motel and club in Guelph, Ontario, Jack and Sharon started a weekly church service right in the club in April 2014. With a vision for all to be welcomed in as family, this has been an interactive and accessible space where everyone is encouraged to participate and contribute.
Since then, The Manor’s ministry has grown and changed into an outreach ministry where their To.Get.Her Team of women serve and minister to those who work in the club. Their community now gathers in homes near the club for Bible studies and to continue to encourage growth and identity in Christ. Recently, The Manor has reintroduced a monthly worship night, Friday Feast, focused on speaking into each other's lives.
The Manor’s mission is to spread the love of God in our community, bringing the good news of the Kingdom into dark places. It includes the disenfranchised, the broken and those who don't feel comfortable within church walls. Their ministry happens on the street, in homes, in the strip club and through social media.
